Elena Stokes

Early artistic pursuits in the dramatic arts brought Ms Stokes to New York City and, on a whim, she took a basic course on quilt making at The New School/Parsons which led to her explorations of the visual arts through textiles. Mostly a self-taught artist, her work has been accepted into national and international exhibitions including Quilt National, received awards, published in fiber art books and magazine publications, and purchased for private and public collections throughout the US and Europe including the Stony Brook Cancer Center in Long Island, NY. Elena currently resides in Clinton, NJ.
