2019 Community Gardens
Our Community Garden has reinforced animal proof split rail fence with a beautiful custom gate for an entrance. The garden is divided into twenty 10’ x 10’ semi-raised plots and mulched walkways, which will be available for our Gardeners in May. Local residents may secure one or more plots to grow their own produce and/or flowers. The gardeners will follow organic gardening practices. Each gardener will be responsible for planting, maintaining and harvesting their own plots. We will be offering a 35 minute educational component presented by Kelli Pereira, our very own Green Thumb & Director of our The Gardens at the start of planting season.
The 10x10 ft plots are available; $30 FOW Members, $35 Non Members. They will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis with Friends of Whittemore members getting first priority. The application and other necessary forms are available for download here.
