About The Event
BYO, Chair and Picnic and make a EVENING of it!
NEW TIME: 6pm, arrival 5:30pm
Michael Topolski is a versatile classical and fingerstyle guitarist, and vocalist. He is also a software engineer. He has performed for many years in the metropolitan area and throughout the United States as a soloist and with ensembles when he wasn’t working as an engineer on aerospace programs. “I love balancing my life with music and engineering. They are both disciplines that require unique skills and a fervent attention to detail. The reward is evoking an internal passion that meets an objective or touches a soul.”
He has performed at many types of venues including Carnegie Hall, House of Blues, Friars Club, college campuses, art galleries, and private events. He recently retired from engineering and is now focusing exclusively on playing the guitar. He holds a BA in Music Education from New Jersey City University and a BS in Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has studied guitar with Frederic Hand, Harry Leahy, Leon Atkinson and performed in master classes with José Tomás.
Michael’s extensive classical repertoire encompasses Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, Modern, and Contemporary music. He also enjoys performing Brazilian, Celtic, music from around the world and is equally comfortable singing and playing jazz, pop, rock, and country music.
The concert will be livestreamed on the Friends of Whittemore Facebook page for those who cannot attend.
