About The Event
En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air” and refers to the act of painting outdoors with the artist's subject in full view. This class will meet at beautiful Whittemore - Community, Culture & Conservation in Oldwick, NJ. Wes Sherman will lead the classes and will talk about the paintings created during the term.
You will learn how to paint outdoors, learn ways of looking at the nature around you, and consider what it might mean to be a contemporary landscape painter.
Please Note: These classes will be held exclusively at the Whittemore Community, Culture and Conservation located at 7, Rockaway Rd, Lebanon, NJ 08833. In the event of rain there will be an indoor space provided. NOTE: There is no class on 5/27.Special Notes
Materials: Students may work in either oil, acrylic or watercolor. Please bring whatever supplies you already have in the medium of your choice.
