Christina S. MacKinnon is a contemporary abstract painter living and making art in Hunterdon County, NJ. While pursuing her Visual Arts degree at Raritan Valley Community College in 2000, she experienced a transformational moment when viewing a Melissa Meyer exhibition in Chelsea and immediately knew abstract painting was something she wanted to explore. As it happened, this revelation was short-lived, and motherhood soon became her primary focus.

Painting was put on the back burner for over ten years. In 2014 when her youngest son began kindergarten, Christina vigorously plunged back into painting. Since then, making art has become her spiritual practice.

She sold numerous works and uses instagram as her platform to do so. Her work has been exhibited in several shows including Soho, NYC and is currently part of a group exhibition at the Monmouth Museum in Lincroft, NJ. These intuitive works delve into the spirituality and interconnectedness within each of us.
