Join us for our 2nd Transcendent Vinyl: A Art & Jazz-Inspired Movement Experience
This special class features a carefully curated jazz playlist, reflecting the shared passions of Artist-in-Residence Jim Irvine and Director of Wellness Carl Klemme. You’ll hear selections from Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and other iconic jazz musicians whose work has inspired Jim’s painting practice throughout his two-year residency - and whose rhythms fuel Carl’s belief that jazz can be a powerful gateway to mindfulness and meditation.
Set inside the Galleries at Whittemore, the session begins with Jim sharing how jazz has shaped his creative process - his brushstrokes, mark-making, and artistic expression. Then, Carl will guide us through a meditative movement experience, inviting you to drop in, move mindfully, and let the music carry you.
