Beginner Beekeeping and Honeybees - NEW lecture - Free
JUNE 23, Sunday, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. (This class could run slightly longer due to Q & A period.)
Interested in keeping bees? This engaging class explores honeybee anatomy, physiology, colony social structure and language, and products of the hive. Our expert apiarist explains life in and out of the hive, introduces students to the basic equipment for keeping bees, and discusses current topics in beekeeping and why their care is so important to these amazing creatures that pollinate one-third of our food. Led by an expert Rutgers Extension Master Gardener of Hunterdon County.
