About The Event
This hands-on class will show you that starting your own vegetable seeds is so much easier than you think!
It’s a great way to enjoy vegetables earlier and later in the season and expand the types of produce that you can grow! Instead of being restricted to when and what garden centers offer, you can choose from hundreds of varieties such as green striped tomatoes, purple kale and finger-sized eggplant, while paying a fraction of the cost!
Join Melissa Almendinger, Duke Farms, Garden Director and farmer, to learn about the tools you need to succeed.
Leave with your own tray of seeds to transplant into this year's garden.
Please bring your own tray, peat pots, or small cups or pots to use at this workshop. Seeds and soil provided.
This class is $10 to FOW members & $15 non-members, and you must register in advance.
Class might run slightly longer for Q & A period
