Singer and saxophonist Joe Grillo has been leading bands and working as a side man professionally for decades. His solo show is a mix of New Orleans classics and his own NOLA influenced compositions. He is currently the lead singer and composer for the Gumbo Gumbas, a popular New Jersey Pop Zydeco/ swamp funk ensemble. Joe leads the band, co-writes the music, edits the videos, and is the main driving force behind this Trenton based group. Joes newest endeavor is “Project B” a throwback 1960’s style jazz/R&B organ trio. Joe combines the stylings of Junior Walker, David Sanborne , and King Curtis along with his own compositions to this soulful, high-energy group.
