Little Scouts

Did you know the Lenape Indians used to live on our lands? Learn how they made Hunterdon County their home. We will build Wigwams,  make some of the tools they used and learn how they lived among the plants and animals. Campers will learn their secretes through storytelling, exploration, hikes and craft-making.

With the summers getting hotter we are adding Sprinkler Time - Free Play while cooling off in the Gardens of Whittemore.

DAILY CAMP SCHEDULE

• 8:55-9:10 - ARRIVAL
• 9:00-9:15 - Morning Circle
• 9:15-10:30 - Nature Walk
• 10:30 - 11:00 - Craft Time
• 11:00-11:15 - SNACK Time
• 11:15-12:00 - Project Nature
• 12:00-12:50 - Frog Catching & Sprinkler Time & Snack
• 12:50-1:00pm Prepare for Dismissal

Important Information:

- Campers should be dressed to play outdoors, with good hiking sneakers or shoes and a hat. 

- Please pack a bathing suit & towel

- We play in the Rain; so please make sure they have rain jackets and boots for those rainy days. If we cannot go outdoors, the kids will have fun in our indoor facilites and children's classroom.

- Please be sure to pack everyday a NUT-FREE Snack and mini lunch, and a refillable water bottle (we're a green facility).

- Please make sure all their items are labeled with their name - each child will have a cubby for the week to place their belongings.

- Bug Spray & Sunscreen should be applied at home (we will have some just in case). 

- Tick Checks should be done at home at the end of each day!

- Our Registration form includes an emergency contact and allergy information, please let us know of an changes!
