About The Event
Join us in the Gardens of Whittemore as we continue with our unique wellness offerings.
"Singing bowls have been around for thousands of years, and they are a common fixture in sound healing practices. From Himalayan singing bowls to crystal singing bowls, these instruments create enchanting sounds that can accompany a variety of rituals and practices."
There is a growing body of research that sound therapy using singing bowls can benefit some mental and physical conditions. The most evidence is for relaxation, especially if you use the bowls in guided meditation. Sound healing works on a cellular level, re-tuning and re-calibrating the body. The healing tones soothe the body into a peaceful, relaxed state allowing the energy to flow better and promote healing.
Join Scarlet Gorton in the Gardens of Whittemore as she takes you though an experience like no other.
Scarlet is a sound-healing practitioner, ordained pastor, social worker, wife, mother, and grandmother. In each of these roles, she seeks to create harmony in the lives of others. Her nearly decade-long journey with sound began with the study of Tibetan singing bowls and burgeoned into a practice which includes gongs, chimes, and other instruments with unique sonic properties. The sounds produced in her practice aid in releasing tension and energy blockages in the participant(s) to achieve a deep sense of peace. Scarlet fulfilled a certification from the Atma Buti Sound and Vibrational School in 2017 and offers individual and group sound sessions at her home studio in Tewksbury, NJ to any who seek a unique, meditative healing experience.
