Join Friends of Whittemore for our Spring Almost Summer Extravaganza under the stars!

Watch as the Dinner unfolds right there in the Gardens, prepared on our Fire Rig and enjoy the exclusive opportunity to eat, drink and be merry in the in the Gardens of Whittemore.

The Extravaganza is our continued collaboration of not only food, but art, music and garden design.

The evening includes a private concert with Dario Chiazzolini, who returns from recording & touring, to our Gardens to play his astounding jazz & classical guitar repetoire. Our Guests will enjoy a private tour of Whittemore's current Art Exhibit, works by Ahni Kruger, Elie Porter Trubert, The Hunterdon Watercolor Society, Alison Scherr, David Horowitz & Jeff Mase, exhibiting for The Hunterdon Art Tour.

Chefs Dan Lipow and Ben Walmer, of The Foraged Feast & Highlands Dinner Club,  create a vibrant menu built from late spring local abundance. Constrained only by the ‘moment’ of the season, the talented and spirited group of food vagabonds will lead you on an exciting culinary journey. 

Some of the ingredients likely to appear in the five course menu are as follows:

Local cider and cocktails

Local cheeses

Ramps (aka wild leeks)

Fiddleheads

Wild spring greens and flowers (e.g. watercress, magnolia blossoms, elderflower)

Spring onions

Knotweed jam

Asparagus

Chicken of the Woods mushrooms

Morel mushrooms

Whittemore Shiitake mushrooms

Locally sourced seafood and proteins

Friends of Whittemore is a non-profit community organization established to raise funds to provide Cultural and Educational Programming in Tewksbury. The funds raised through donations, grants and special events are used directly to support Whittemore - Community, Culture & Conservation.
