AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Whittemore - Community, Culture & Conservation is excited to be partnering with the Tewksbury Township School District and the Board of Education, in providing After-School programming for the 2022-23 Academic year for both OTS & TES, to be held on school grounds right after school.
Our programs will have a nature and wellness theme, enriching students on the importance of conservation, the natural beauty available in our own backyard (schoolyard), the importance of being outdoors, while embracing the community in which we live, all the while having fun! Our focus is for the children to be outdoors as much as possible while enjoying themselves and taking the skills learned and using them at home. We look forward to enriching your students.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Grades 5-8, Wednesdays 2:35-3:35
with Photographer Sandy Ross
This will not be a portrait class, nor a class in how to use your camera. It will essentially be an introductory photography class, but the emphasis will be on learning what makes a good photograph and how we might develop new ways of seeing.
Our usual approach to taking photographs is to "snap" our digital cameras (iPhones) at something we find interesting at the moment. By learning to think ahead, to look more carefully at our surroundings, and consider composition in our photographic frames, we may just grow some unexpected skills from our experimentation.
Let's have fun - discovering things about ourselves and our reaction to the physical world - in ways that may surprise us!
Note: we will be going outside no matter what the weather, please dress appropriately.
Fee includes all materials. A digital camera or iPhone is needed for this class.
