Ann Thomas
Ann Thomas creates landscapes that explore the beauty surrounding her home in Hunterdon County, NJ. After graduating with a BFA from Millersville University in 1981, she went on to work at the Philadelphia Museum of Art while attending classes at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She eventually settled in Doylestown, PA where she pursued a career in the fields of architecture and interior design.
A move to New Jersey in 1989 began a 30-plus-year love of rural Hunterdon County, in many ways akin to the area of Pennsylvania where she was raised. In addition to raising two daughters, she has worked in the fields of fashion and jewelry design, including running a vintage jewelry shop for over 15 years. She picked up oil painting 30 years post graduation and is largely selftaught in the medium. Her work has been shown widely in regional exhibitions and can be found in many private collections.
