Janet Wadler

Janet just recently retired after 25 years as the elementary art teacher in the Tewksbury School District. As an art educator, her professional goal was to foster creativity, exploration, and self-expression to her students. “The exciting energy of children joyfully creating in my classroom was a magical experience that will always be in my heart and keep me inspired in my own art making.”  An essential element of her creative practice is to always have the mindset of a student, continuing to learn and explore the many ways and joys of creating art.

Janet was originally from Rockland County, New York where she began two years of study in the Graphic Arts at SUNY Rockland Community College and then changed her major to art education and received a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from St. Thomas Aquinas College a Master’s of Science Degree in Education from Long Island University.

Janet’s creative energy was always put into being a successful art educator but now she has returned to her first love- painting.  She paints in her studio in Morristown, NJ where she spends most of her time creating with pastels and acrylics and also playing with her five grandchildren.
